about us
Healing Communities Foundation, Inc. was established in 2014 as a result of concerned citizens coming together following a series of property and violent crimes in Tuscaloosa County. Effectively addressing the anger and rage of the community is a foundational effort of the organization and continues to be. Focusing on the family unit is our niche as we strengthen and mobilize this unit as a source of resolution for the brokenness in our communities.
Our board and staff consist of concerned citizens of various professions, interests, and positions in the community. This is a strength as we network and partner with businesses and community entities for the greater good of the community.
Through continued partnerships, we hope to “Heal our Communities” through empowered families. Please contact us if you would like to partner with or join our efforts!

Mission
Empowering the family unit by completing the circle of support. By focusing on the family unit we strive to strengthen the very foundation and reignite the purpose of the family as a source of resolution for the brokenness in our communities.
Objective
To encourage businesses, organizations, churches, governmental and educational entities of Tuscaloosa County and surrounding areas to work together through partnerships to provide united services to our communities.
Values
We care about Tuscaloosa County and the people who live here. We believe this community deserves to be safe and prosperous. We seek to foster a positive atmosphere of mutual respect and collaboration within this community.
Purpose
The ultimate goal for Healing Communities Foundation, Inc. is to assist in reducing the number of violent and property crimes in Tuscaloosa County. It is our plan to expand to other counties in Alabama as we continue to grow and build our program. We will do this by effectively meeting the needs of the community in an effort to reduce the motivation, drive or desire to commit crimes in general.
Furthermore, our goal includes educating citizens of all ages on how to cope with and dissolve anger, rage, and other emotions that foster unhealthy behaviors, destructive mentalities and hostile communities.
As this organization continues to grow, we will be able to provide evidence of increased morality, integrity and respect in the community. This will be the result of our joint efforts to heal our communities by providing education and meeting needs.
Healing Communities Foundation, Inc. is built on a foundation of networking and teamwork. All initiatives are chaired by individuals who actively seek partnerships with other entities serving that particular population.
HCF seeks to foster the generation of new ideas and support positive works in a united effort to serve the community.
Continued partnerships are being sought for this newly formed non-profit organization.
