Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors and Leadership Youth Empowerment Programs
Who/What: Royal Ambassadors (RA) is a missions discipleship organization for boys in grades 1–6. Through hands-on activities that encourage spiritual growth, games and sports, and mentoring relationships with RA leaders, RA members become a faith-based brotherhood. Girls in Action (GA) is a missions discipleship organization for girls in grades 1 through 6. Through GA, girls learn about, pray for, give to, and do missions work. They also make new friends and have lots of fun! Both programs were designed and implemented nationally WMU Mission for Life ® (www.wmu.com). Leadership is a continuation of these programs designed by HCF to continue and extend the lessons learned in GA and RA to students in grades 7-12. Following an educational model, this program allows for participates to practice and further implement learned skills and they grow into productive young adults and citizens.
When: GA, RA and Leadership meets weekly on Wednesday evenings 6-7:30 pm. Dinner and transportation is provided weekly FREE OF CHARGE!!
Where: The youth empowerment programs are housed primarily at Trinity Baptist Church (2320 Martin Luther King Blvd Tuscaloosa, Al 35401). However, fun activities and retreats are often held at local parks, other churches, and educational facilities.
